In the period from 22 to 24 February 2013 within the premises of the Palace of Culture in Balti were held the seventeenth edition of the specialized exhibitions-fairs “AGROTEH” and “ALIMENTAR EXPO” and the eighth edition of the Exhibition “Martisor”. The organizers of these activities were the Balti Branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova and the Balti Mayoralty, with the support of “Moldagrotehnica” JSC and CB “Moldova Agroindbank” JSC.
These exhibition events were attended by over 60 economic agents from various regions of the country, who presented products and agricultural equipment, seeds, seedlings, horticultural inventory, foodstuffs, alcoholic and soft drinks, and various handicrafts, clothing, perfumery, cosmetics and jewelry.
According to Mrs. Galina Codita, Director of Balti Branch of CCI, the nominated exhibitions-fairs and the Exhibition “Martisor” demonstrate the achievements of participating enterprises and are a favorable area for exchange of experience, uptake of modern technologies and search for new partners.
The opening of the event was attended by representatives of local authorities from Balti municipality, Telenesti, Riscani, Sangerei, Falesti, Glodeni, Ungheni districts, members of the CCI Council, as well as business environment of the region.
On the first day of the Exhibitions-Fairs was held a roundtable attended by farmers and agriculture specialists from those districts, representatives of “Modagrotehnica” JSC, Scientific Research Institute “Selectia” and CB “Moldova Agroindbank Bank”. In this event, participants discussed urgent issues of agriculture, such as soil tillage in drought conditions, use of modern technologies in agriculture, use of quality seeds, crediting of agricultural business, etc. AGEPI specialists presented during the round table a report on the importance and necessity of registration of intellectual property objects - a prerequisite for business development and success for economic agents.
Organizers of the specialized Exhibition-Fairs “AGROTEH” and “ALIMENTAR EXPO” and of the eighth edition of the Exhibition “Martisor”, achieved their aim to support economic agents from the northern area, but also from the whole country, to promote their goods on the domestic and foreign market, to encourage the conclusion of new business contracts, to strengthen and maintain the public-private dialogue.
