Director General of the State Agency on Intellectual Property (AGEPI), Octavian Apostol, had a working meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sergiu Harea. The officials discussed the cooperation between the two institutions.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President of CCI, Mihai Bilba and Head of Business Events Department of CCI, Carolina Chiper.
Among the topics discussed were organizing joint training activities for economic agents in the field of intellectual property; establishing a partnership to promote the services offered by the AGEPI and CCI; AGEPI participation in the national exhibition “Made in Moldova 2017”; improving the concept of organization and promotion of the contest “Trademark of the Year”, as well as attracting AGEPI in activities conducted by CCI in the European Enterprise Network and the EU Programme COSME.
AGEPI Director General thanked CCI President for the involvement and openness to the field of intellectual property and cooperation with the State Agency on Intellectual Property. Only through joint efforts we can contribute to the increase in the level of knowledge of the IP field and economic development of Moldova, said Octavian Apostol.
In turn, Sergiu Harea said that CCI is interested in intensifying the cooperation with the AGEPI and developing joint projects for economic agents.
Finally, it was agreed to develop and sign a joint action plan until the end of this year and for the next year, 2017.
We should mention that the State Agency on Intellectual Property and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed, in 2012, a Cooperation Agreement in the field of promotion and legal protection of industrial property objects, managing to perform a series of concrete activities aimed at supporting entrepreneurial activity in the Republic of Moldova.
